The Azusa Chamber of Commerce offers a variety of dynamic committees, each focused on a specific area that helps our Chamber and community thrive. Whether you're passionate about business advocacy, events, community outreach, or leadership development, there’s a place for you to plug in and make an impact.

Membership, Ambassadors & Events Committee

Purpose: Strengthen member relations, increase engagement, and execute high-impact events.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement member recruitment and retention strategies

  • Coordinate onboarding and recognition of new members

  • Organize monthly mixers and networking events

  • Plan and execute signature events (Taste of the Town, Wine Walk, Installation Ceremony)

  • Support ambassador engagement and outreach

Ideal Members: Outgoing professionals who enjoy networking, planning, and elevating member experience.

Community & Economic Development Committee

Purpose: Foster community partnerships and create a thriving local economy.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with city officials, local organizations, and businesses to address economic priorities

  • Identify opportunities for collaboration with nonprofits, schools, and community leaders

  • Support initiatives that attract and retain small businesses

  • Facilitate outreach that promotes local entrepreneurship

Ideal Members: Community connectors and strategic thinkers passionate about economic impact.

Legislative Affairs & Business Advocacy Committee

Purpose: Represent business interests and maintain a voice in public policy.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and communicate local, regional, and state policy updates to members

  • Coordinate with City Council and public agencies to advocate for business-friendly initiatives

  • Represent the Chamber at civic meetings and public hearings when appropriate

  • Host legislative roundtables and forums


Ideal Members: Professionals with an interest in policy, civic engagement, and advocacy.

Career & Workforce Development Committee

Purpose: Bridge the gap between education, workforce needs, and business growth.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Partner with schools, workforce boards, and job training programs

  • Host career readiness events, internships, and mentorship opportunities

  • Promote workforce development resources to member businesses

  • Identify hiring needs and connect employers to talent pipelines

Ideal Members: HR professionals, educators, and those passionate about job creation and youth mentorship.

Each committee will meet as needed based on initiative timelines, and report updates to the Board of Directors monthly. All members are encouraged to join a committee aligned with their passion and professional strengths.
